Dear Port Perry Church family,

I trust you are enjoying a fruitful new year so far. :)
I thought you might enjoy these pics  from the Moi tribe - a very remote people group, only discovered in Indonesia some 20 plus years ago, and now getting the completed New Testament this last week!! PTL
My colleague Tim Whatley is there and he writes:
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
"This verse is ringing true in my ears. 23 years ago, my brother-in-law, Stephen Crocket, and I jumped out of a helicopter and made first contact with the remote and isolated Moi people of Asia Pacific.

On January 4th, 2024, my wife and I had the privilege of joining the Moi church as they celebrated God's Word being translated into their heart language. One of the church elders shared, "I'll tell you what I'm thankful for—I'm thankful that I am still like a kid. The Bible is done, and I am still young enough to enjoy it for many years."
And here's another great quote:
"At creation God planned the day we would get His Word, now it's here.
Think well, our enemy has owned us, but now we have the weapon to fight him.  Never forget this sword to fight our enemy. "
It is milestones like this that cause us to step back and praise God. He is at work in the world today. He is empowering His Church to advance into the darkness with "the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" Ephesians 6:17."
Praise God with us for how He is building His church in every Ethnos! Thanks for standing with us.
Love,
Martin and Tammy
PS Appreciate your prayers as I now head to India next week to meet with our team there. The work is very much under the radar as the country is becoming more and more antagonistic towards the Gospel. It will be good to see how we can better support and recruit for the great work in this needy part of the world.
