RECOGNITION
This church recognizes and accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as its one supreme Lord, and the bible as its only and sufficient rule of faith and practice.

Recognizing that unless God, through His Holy Spirit, is at work in a person's heart there is no salvation, no spiritual growth, no truly fruitful ministry; and recognizing that the standard by which we must judge every activity and method in ministry is the Word of God; we are committed to ministries which will endeavour to lead individuals to faith in Jesus Christ, establish them in their Christian walk, and equip them to evangelize and disciple others. Furthermore, recognizing the essential place of the church in the program of God, it is our conviction that these aims are best accomplished in the context of the local church.

General Purpose

This church shall:

  1. Provide for corporate worship, spiritual nurture, instruction, edification, fellowship and opportunities for Christian service
  2. Provide for evangelistic and missions outreach, at home and throughout the world, in response to the Biblical mandate;
  3. Develop and operate such religious, educational and benevolent ministries as deemed necessary by the Board of Overseers giving particular attention to the needs of its members and constituents.

Specific Aims

The church shall aim to:

  1. Introduce individuals to the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ;
  2. Guide individuals in a growing knowledge and appreciation of their Creator and Saviour by:
    1. Encouraging a loving knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God, thus developing them into mature witnesses for Christ;
    2. Teaching the importance of submitting to the working of the Holy Spirit, thus enabling them to live holy lives, free from bondage of sin;
  3. Help individuals develop a Biblical philosophy of living, including an understanding of God's purposes in history, enabling them to be responsible Christian citizens in the community, the nation and the world;
  4. Teaching individuals the nature, function and purpose of the Church as defined in the Scriptures, motivating them to active participation in it;
  5. Strengthening Christian homes by teaching Biblical principles for family living and uniting church and home in providing spiritual nurture to their mutual members;
  6. Cultivating healthy missions activity, motivating individuals to constructive involvement through praying, giving and going.
